In some of the final submitted results from Shotgun Deer Hunting season, Bitzer Hatchery reported seven checks from Sunday.
Kaleb Brown of Northfield checked in two deer (155 pounds, eight points and 101, doe) on the same day.

FCHA
The 12-U White FCHA team defeated the Yellow Jackets of Springfield, 2-1, in Pee-Wee division play on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Cyr Rink.
Hunter Wilkins scored both goals for FCHA, with Harper Coffin, Lucas Edson and George Bodzinski notching assists.
Stoneleigh-Burnham
The IEA Hunt Seat Team closed out the regular show season with a win, marking a strong finish to the year. Both the Upper School and Middle School Hunt Seat teams qualified for IEA Regionals.
Stoneleigh-Burnham will host the event on Jan. 24. Several Stoneleigh-Burnham School riders earned individual qualifications to advance to regional competition.

The Franklin/Hampshire Basketball Officials awarded Hannah Gilbert (Franklin Tech), Chloe LaRoche (Belchertown), Bri Heafey (Northampton) and Alex McClelland (Pioneer) $500 from the Casey Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship award stems from outstanding grades, athletic performance and community service.
