9:15 a.m. — Officer on West Main Street to effect a warrant; arrested was Crystal Ann Doucette, 30, of West Main Street, Orange, on the default warrant.
1:45 p.m. — Shelburne Control got a 911 call reporting eight to 10 people yelling and screaming, and a couple have baseball bats; the caller didn’t see anyone getting assaulted; on officer’s arrival, three car loads of people were also arriving, and took off on seeing the cruiser; two vehicles were stopped, and searched; no weapons found, the third car was located later; this event is involved in the assault that occurred over the weekend, and this group was going to take the matter into their own hands; state police also en route to assist; all were spoken with, and advised to seek assistance from police.
1:46 p.m. — Caller reports she just came by the house of East Main Street and there was a large crowd of people that appeared like they were looking to fight; cruisers dispatched and found it was related to the earlier call.
4:10 p.m. — Caller from East River Street reports her mother refuses to bring her to Athol to pick up medication; on arrival, the officer discussed the situation to a conclusion, and the reporting person’s mom gave her a ride.
11:30 p.m. — Caller who had called before, called back to advise two people are harassing him by sending threatening text messages, and party doing the sending is intoxicated, and states that he wants to fight; the officer responding spoke with both people and instructed them to cease communication, and to go to bed.
6:12 a.m. — Accident with injuries on Montague City Road; officers and Fire Department responded; the caller says a vehicle crashed into his wooden fence in front of his house, and says a female is complaining of a head injury; officer on scene requests Montague and Deerfield Police to shut down traffic at the bridges; fire command advises a single vehicle rollover; tow truck called; and the operator was taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center for evaluation and treatment, and will later be cited for a speed greater than reasonable. Bridges reopened.
7:50 a.m. — Accident at Devens and Elm streets; two vehicles involved, Medcare also on scene; on arrival the officer indicated no assistance needed, and other units cleared.
11 a.m. — Threat reported dealing with the Energy Park on Mile Street where the caller advises three women are waiting to assault her at the benches, and she is making her way there; Officers found no direct threats made to anyone and checked with people at the bench who reported never seeing a group matching the above description; the initial reporting person intoxicated, but he isn’t protective custody level as yet.
2:02 p.m. — Larceny reported at the high school where the caller says a cell phone was stolen around 12 p.m.; officer to investigate.
2:24 p.m. — Caller from Dollar General on Federal Street reports having issues with the Barlow Co. storing items on his property; officer spoke with the caller and then with the Barlow Co., and they were advised to remove equipment, and debris as well.
2:57 p.m. — Report from Bank Row of the theft of a backpack, and the caller says he knows the male involved, but not his name; officer was unable to locate the reporting person but he advised the caller’s roommates to have him call the station back with a meeting location.
4:24 p.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Wells Street where the caller says she saw a male take a mini excavator from a work site, where JS Rae has been working, and he headed into a back yard nearby; the caller didn’t think the person was connected to the JS Rae firm; officer sent, and found it was a family member borrowing equipment.
4:26 p.m. — Caller from Chapman Street reports her former landlord just stopped at her new apartment, and dumped “trash” on the front lawn; the reporting person advised this “trash” was actually mattresses left behind by her, in the old apartment; she was advised this was a civil issue with property dispute; attempted to contact the landlord, and had to leave a message.
5:02 p.m. — Hazard reported on Columbus Avenue where the caller reports a large amount of glass in the roadway; officer found it and sent a message to the DPW to see if they want to come out, and they will be responding to clean up the glass; a passerby advised an unknown male locked his keys in the car, and smashed the window to get in.
5:09 p.m. — Caller from area of Bank Row reports two females and one male with a string or wire near the monument gate on the town common; found to be a female, charging her cell phone, at the power outlet on the common.
5:14 p.m. — Minor two-car accident at the Interstate 91 rotary, found to be a rear-end collision; minor scuffs on the front and back bumpers, driver of the second vehicle was given a warning citation, and the office assisted with exchange of information.
6:32 p.m. — Burglar alarm activated at the Franklin County Registry of Deeds on Olive Street, a reception motion alarm, and the alarm company is attempting to contact a key holder; officers checked the outside of the building, and it appeared to be secure.
5:58 a.m. — Xfinity Home Alarm Co. reporting a residential burglar alarm entry and exit alarm for the front door, at Highland School Apartments on Millers Falls Road; and the resident of the apartment advised the alarm company that he thinks the neighbor in the next apartment has entered his apartment; officers en route but then cleared when they found the apartment involved secure and the neighbor out in the hallway upon officers’ arrival. The tenant of the apartment that was sounding may have been his neighbor set the alarm off by entering with a key from the office on site; the male states he has recorded footage of his apartment, and the male was advised to call the police station when he is back home to have an officer also view the same video.
1:37 p.m. — Hazard reported on North Main Street where Control says they got a report of a low-hanging wire in that area; officer responding and found it to be the coating to the fire alarm wire; the coating was pulled down, and disposed of; Fire Department was notified.
9:12 p.m. — Control reports a threat to kill was made on East Main Street; the reporting person was spoken with and reports that the male involved got mad earlier, and keeps texting, and harassing her. She contacted the male to go calm him down, but now he sent a message saying he was going to kill her; options were discussed and the caller would like this on record for now, they will call back if this continues.
9:44 p.m. — Harassment reported from a caller who says there is continuing harassment since the last call to us; a call was then placed to the involved person, and at 10:30 the officer spoke with the reporting person again, and the calls had stopped; the reporting person will be applying for a harassment protective order, tomorrow.
1:17 a.m. — Officer stopping a motor vehicle on Wisdom Way; investigation led to arrest of Mark E. St. Peter, 46, of Lunt Drive, Greenfield, charged with attaching plates to a motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, uninsured motor vehicle, and being an operator of a motor vehicle after the right to operate was revoked,
3:09 a.m. — Caller reports from Wells Street of seeing someone with a flashlight near the alleyway of the Home Furnishing Company at Main and Wells streets; and reported it appeared to be an older male with white hair, red pants and a black jacket, and then headed toward the DPW; officer located the man who was just out for a walk, nothing suspicious.
7:44 a.m. — Officer at Baystate Franklin Medical Center to speak with a woman who states she wants to press charges on a woman who assaulted her, the officer explained the complications of filing against a person under a Section 12, and strongly reiterated that we would support her throughout the process; she decided not to go forward with the filing.
10:57 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Green River Road where the caller says a car is parked in the roadway with two women walking around outside of it; officer located the vehicle and older females in the area; they indicated they were Jehovah’s Witnesses; and stated they were going to the residences in attempt to spread the word; they were advised, and moved the vehicle on request.
2:30 a.m. — Caller from North Main Street reported they heard a loud explosion, possibly a blown transformer; officer checking located a fallen tree resting on wires at the intersection of North Main Street and Logan Avenue; and the pole was snapped in half; Orange Fire Department, National Grid, Verizon and a tree crew were all notified; detail was filled to assist with traffic.
5 a.m. — Fire reported on Dexter Street where the calling person said that small fire, located inside of a garage, had been extinguished by the homeowner; Orange Fire Department was dispatched and determined that the cause of the fire was due to a running generator that was located inside the garage.
