Watermelon Wednesdays hosting back-to-back shows

WHATELY — Watermelon Wednesdays is hosting two shows this upcoming week, with one taking place on Aug. 14 (not a Wednesday) and the other being held on Aug. 17. Both shows will be held at the West Whately Chapel, 153 Conway Road, at 7:30 p.m.

Latina quartet Ladama will kick off the Aug. 14 concert with its fusion of Brazilian, Colombian, Venezuelan and American backgrounds all coming together to produce Latin alternative music.

On Aug. 17, Watermelon Wednesdays returns to its regular schedule with the duo of Alasdair Fraser on the fiddle and Natalie Haas on the cello. The fiddle-cello duo offers a unique taste of music through an unlikely pairing of instruments.

Tickets for both shows can be purchased at watermelonwednesdays.com.
