SOUTH DEERFIELD — Walgreens is partnering with the town to host a vaccine clinic at Deerfield Elementary School on Friday, May 20, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.
Both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and booster shots will be available. Those interested can register at bit.ly/3LmBJyV. Walk-in vaccinations will also be available.
WHATELY — Watermelon Wednesdays will host jazz violinist Tim Kliphuis and guitarist Jimmy Grant on June 15, at 7:30 p.m. at the West Whately Chapel, located at 153 Conway Road.
No proof of negative COVID-19 test is required, but attendees are encouraged to wear masks.

SOUTH DEERFIELD — Tilton Library has scheduled a slew of events for Saturday, May 21, with a variety of different themes.
The day kicks off with the library’s annual plant sale, which starts at 8 a.m. and runs until 11 a.m. All proceeds support the library’s Tilton Fund.
The plant sale will be followed by a bookplate sale, which will feature both personal bookplates and dedicated bookplates. Personal bookplates, which go inside books you are giving away, are $10 for a pack of six. Dedication bookplates, which are put inside Tilton Library books to honor someone, are $20. All proceeds will benefit the Friends of Tilton Library. The bookplate sale begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at noon.
From 11 a.m. to noon, attendees can meet the goats of Firefly Fields Farm, as well as buy goat milk products like soap, bath bombs and lotion. During that time, Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture (CISA) will also oversee a table with information on its senior farm share program, as well as the Healthy Incentives Program (HIP).
SOUTH DEERFIELD — Schoen Books will host a charity book sale on Sunday, May 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the store at 7 Sugarloaf St.
Customers determine the price of the books, and all proceeds will benefit local charities and Ukrainian refugees. Attendees are also welcome to make out checks directly to the charity.
