Sadie Wilcox scored 17 points for the Mohawk girls summer league team in a 39-9 win over Athol on Thursday at Franklin Tech.
Wilcox did her work exclusively in the paint for the Warriors. Clara Stevens added seven points, including a nothing-but-net 3-pointer as time expired in regulation. Natalie Lanoue added five points for Mohawk.
Serena Nkengafe led the Bears with four points.
Pioneer 41, Franklin Tech 23 — The Panthers pulled away early in the win over the Eagles. Deveney Pillsbury led Pioneer with 15 points. Ariana Perkins had nine points, while Taylyn Anderson chipped in with seven points.
Tyley McClelland got hot toward the end of the game, connecting on consecutive jumpers from the left wing to finish with four points.
Abigail Dobias scored nine points for the Eagles. Brayleigh Burgh added eight points.
Mahar 39, Greenfield 25 — Nastasia Sanders led the way with 14 points in the Senators’ win over the Green Wave. Adalynn Almeida added 12 points for Mahar. Tayler Bergeron dropped 22 points for Greenfield.
Frontier 65, Greenfield 18 — Addie Harrington scored 22 points in Frontier’s win over the Green Wave to close out the evening. Abby Cendrowski and Harper Modestow both added 14 points in the victory.
Bergeron finished with five points to lead Greenfield.
Greenfield Minor League Baseball
Pioneer Valley Tire 7, Fitzgerald Real Estate 4 — Fifth-seeded Pioneer Valley Tire captured the AAA Division championship at Lunt Fields on June 24. The team started the season 0-3 and battled through a tough field field of higher seeds to secure the victory over second-seeded Fitzgerald.

“They are a great group of kids,” Pioneer Valley Tire coach Ryan Castine said of his team. “And exemplify sportsmanship.”
Parker Smith-LeClair pitched three innings of relief to earn the win on the mound. Smith-LeClair struck out seven and didn’t give up a run with only one hit allowed. He added two doubles and a single at the plate. Zach Bensen had two hits while Connor Bergeron and Cody Castine both added hits.
Cameron Santerre had a triple while Easton Langlois added a double for Fitzgerald. Cooper Dean struck out eight in four innings of work.
Legion Baseball
Greenfield 12, West Springfield 4 — The Greenfield Post 81 junior team (6-0) won its sixth straight in West Side. Theo D’Urso struck out six over seven innings to earn the win on the mound. Colton Kingsbury and Cody Yetter both had two RBI for Greenfield.

Shelburne Falls 15, Ashfield 14 — Trisha Ohmart walked it off with a two-out RBI single to give Shelburne Falls the win on June 23. Emilie Brodeur had a homer and a double while flashing some leather on defense. Taylor Chapin and Teagan Valeski both had three hits for Shelburne Falls.
For Ashfield, Steph Marcoux had three hits with an RBI while Niki Pullen added a triple with two RBI. Meg Burington led the offense with four hits and four RBI for Ashfiedl
Franklin County Softball League
Menace 15, Flyers 0 (five innings) — The Menace their way with the Flyers on June 24. Alexis Berry had four RBI on two hits and struck out seven in the circle for the Menace. Maddie Finn had a three run double for the Menace, with Sammi Suhl adding three hits and a RBI. Chloe Banas added two RBI. Eva Lareau and Riley Dyer had hits for the Flyers.
Fury 13, Defenders 3 — The Fury used seven runs in the sixth inning to pull away from the Defenders on June 24. Leah Batiste (three RBI) and Tianna Moise-Valdez both had doubles for the Fury. Moise-Valdez added a dinger. Aurora Reynolds added a single with an RBI. Alison Kajka had eight strikeouts in six innings for the Fury. Aurora Moynihan and Abby Moffatt had RBI for the Defenders.
Havoc 5, Magic 2 — Lexi Hawkins and Lindsey Hawkins combined for 13 strikeouts in the win for the Havoc on June 24. The sisters both pitched three innings. Ella Larouche, Sadie Nichols, and Hannah Sheperd had key hits for the Magic. For the Magic, Louannie Gonzalez, Ari Roberts, Morgan Gallagher and Bailey Cusson collected hits.
Ari Roberts and Kaylee Roberts combined for six strikeouts in the circle for the Magic.
DRIVE Hoops League
Frontier 58, Mohawk 36 — Dean Gray scored 21 points in the win for the Redhawks in boys varsity play at Greenfield High School on June 23. Landon LaVallee added 20 points for Frontier. Bruin Thompson scored 11 points for Mohawk.
Turners Falls 55, Hadley 34 — Freilyn Abarua dropped 27 points as Turners Falls cruised past Hadley. Kevin Matuzko scored 16 points for Hadley.
Hampshire 65, Brattleboro 60 — Hampshire got past Brattleboro behind 12 points from Liam Diaglos. Bowen Kunkle scored 21 points for Brattleboro, with Kaiden Cole adding 20 points.

Jim McDonald nailed an ace on the second hole from 140-yards out using a 9-iron on Thursday. Joe Poirier, Phil Corrinet, and JP Poirier witnessed the shot.
Forbes Byron sunk an ace on the fifth hole on Thursday. It was the fourth of his career. Byron used an 8-iron on the 135-yard shot. Mike Larabee, Jim Hawkins and Johnny Walker witnessed the shot.

Marcy Conway had three hits and four RBI for the Sharks. Matt Gibson had a day for the Sharks, with three hits including a double with three RBI.
