CHARLEMONT — Mocha Maya’s, Shelburne Falls’ popular coffeehouse and concert venue, will be opening a second cafe at the Berkshire East Mountain Resort.
“It’s something that has been in the works for quite some time and it looks like it will be a reality within the next month or so,” co-owner Bruce King said. “We are so excited to officially announce that we will be opening our second venue at Berkshire East ski lodge in Charlemont,” said King.
Initially, the business will focus on hot drinks, including coffee, tea, hot cocoa and espresso drinks. Gradually, more of the fare now served up in the Shelburne Falls establishment will be added to the Charlemont-based business.
Also, Mocha Maya’s will be hiring new staff for its Charlemont location. Resumes may be dropped off at Mocha Maya’s, 47 Bridge St. in Shelburne Falls. Prospective employees may also call Mocha Maya for an interview.
Mocha Maya’s opened about 10 years ago in Shelburne Falls. Besides serving coffee and tea, it now serves beer and wine, breakfast sandwiches, bagels and bakery items.
