Butch grew up in Turners Falls and attended Turners Falls High School. He discovered early on his passion for cooking, which became both his career and a defining part of his life. He spent many years at Bill’s Restaurant, where he formed lifelong friendships with coworkers and patrons alike. His warm presence and easygoing nature made him well-loved by all who knew him. He later continued his work at the Four Leaf Clover restaurant.
It was at Bill’s Restaurant where Butch met his wife, Mary. After several years together, they were married on September 7, 2007, and shared many meaningful years side by side.
Butch was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He took great joy in sharing stories of his adventures, many of which were spent with his close friend and cousin, Len Adams. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife Mary to destinations near and far.
Above all, Butch found his greatest happiness in spending time with his sons and grandchildren, who brought him immense pride and joy.
He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kind heart, and steady, positive spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Butch is survived by his sons, Donald Joslyn and Brandon Choiniere; his grandchildren, Abbi Joslyn, Aiden Joslyn, and Donald Ashton Joslyn; his brother, Brian Choiniere; and several nieces and nephews.
