Special town meeting Tuesday

HAWLEY – A special town meeting takes place Tuesday, Nov. 15, at 7 p.m. in the Town Office to vote on three articles: To increase the expenditure limit of the town’s dog fund from $1,000 to $1,500, to allow the animal control officer to receive rabies pre-exposure vaccinations; to transfer $500 from “free” cash to an animal inspector expense account; and to allow the town to spend up to $6,500 for a road sander, with the money to come from free cash reserves.

Rowe town meeting

ROWE — A special town meeting will be held Wednesday, 7 p.m., at the Rowe Elementary School to see if the town will spend $70,000 in “free cash” reserves to permanently repair an eroded, slope of the old landfill at the town transfer station.

Clerk’s office closed for hunting

SHELBURNE — Town Clerk Joseph Judd’s office in Memorial Hall will be closed from Nov. 17 through 29, in observance of deer hunting season.
