SUNDERLAND — Police are searching for a suspect who was filmed during an attempted break-in at the Sunderland Market in the Squire Village Plaza on Amherst Road early Thursday.
Police responded to a burglar alarm around 2:20 a.m. and have images of the suspect from a security video. The suspect is a man with short dark hair and facial hair. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and gray fleece or flannel gray/green camouflage pants, blue sneakers with white soles, and carrying a blue backpack.
As of Thursday afternoon, the suspect was still at large, and the incident remained under investigation. If anyone has information about the suspect, they are asked to call the on-duty Sunderland officer at 625-8200.
