GREENFIELD — The Greenfield Public Library will hold a public forum about the library building project Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s Greenfield Meeting Room.
Library representatives will discuss the process used to determine the library’s location and architects from Johnson Roberts Associates, Inc. will show the preliminary design. A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.
“We’re very excited to show the public where we are in the process,” said Jean Wall, chair of the Library Building Committee, “and we’re looking forward to getting feedback from the community.”
The library was awarded a planning and design grant from the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners in June 2014 with Northampton-based D.A. Sullivan and Sons, Inc. as owner’s project manager. Johnson Roberts was selected as architect in December 2015. The MBLC has announced a multimillion-dollar construction grant round will open this summer.
