In the past year or so, my husband and I have watched Virginia “Ginny” Desorgher approach the problems that have come before the City Council thoughtfully and thoroughly. We have been impressed with her diligence in studying the issues and researching possible solutions. We also have noted the respect with which her fellow council members have listened to her positions and worked with her toward resolving the city’s concerns.

All of these make Ginny a very good choice, in our minds, to be elected as our next mayor of Greenfield.

But it is the way Ginny listens to people when they approach her, the respect she affords them and the attention with which she listens to their stories that most convince us that Ginny is the mayor we need. It is time for Greenfield to elect a leader who will hear our concerns, whether they be polluted sites, civil rights abuses, unjust property taxes or underfunded schools, and who will seek remedies that will work for the greatest number of our residents.

We hope you will join us on Nov. 7 to elect Ginny Desorgher as the next mayor of Greenfield.
