SHELBURNE — Twelve seats were filled in uncontested races during the town election on Tuesday, although a four-year unexpired term on the Recreation Committee and a two-year Housing Authority term remain vacant.

Additionally, write-in votes decided the winner of a five-year Planning Board seat. John Wheeler received 84 write-in votes, besting Matt Popoli’s 15 write-in votes. As of Wednesday, Town Clerk Joseph Judd said Wheeler had accepted the position.

Although Marguerite Sheehan received two write-in votes to join the Housing Authority for a two-year term, Judd said she declined to accept the position.

According to Judd, 144 of the town’s 1,424 registered voters cast their ballots, making for a 10.11% turnout.

The 12 uncontested seats that were filled are:

■Selectboard, three years — Robert Manners, 108 votes.

■Assessor, three years — Jodi Lewandowski, 116 votes.

■Assessor, one year — Maya Winfrey, 119 votes.

■Town clerk, one year — Joseph Judd, 135 votes.

■Moderator, one year — Roland Giguere, 127 votes.

■Shelburne Free Public Library trustees, two seats with three-year terms — Launie York, 131 votes, and Cathleen Strong, 119 votes.

■Planning Board, two years — Tricia Yacovone-Biagi, 110 votes.

■Recreation Committee, five years — Stefan Topolski, 118 votes.

■Tree warden, one year — James Richardson, 121 votes.

■Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee, three years — Jason Cusimano, 112 votes.

■Constable, three years — James Stacy, 129 votes.
