Did you know that there was a third World Trade Center building in New York that was not hit by an airplane, yet collapsed in less than 10 seconds on 9/11, 2001? It was called Building Seven.
At 5:20 in the afternoon, after sustaining moderate damage from a few light office fires, Building Seven can be seen on video collapsing rapidly and symmetrically into its own footprint.
There are 3,250 registered architects and engineers who are disturbed enough by the government’s findings to belong to Architects and Engineers for 9-11 Truth (AE 9-11 Truth). This organization has examined the evidence closely and sponsored a four-year computer modeling university study on the collapse of Building Seven. Based on these findings they are calling for a new investigation into the causes of this and the other building collapses.
Investigators at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) have concluded that WTC 7 was the first steel-framed high-rise in the world ever to have collapsed solely as a result of office fires. Contrary to the conclusions of NIST, the University of Alaska Civil Engineering research team found after four years of modeling that the collapse of WTC7 was caused not by fires, but by the near-simultaneous failure of every column in the building.
How, you might ask, is such a thing possible? Go into the AE 9-11 Truth site, and check out their findings and watch the videos of this building collapsing to draw your own conclusions. On the upcoming 20th anniversary of 9/11, Saturday, Sept. 11 at 10 a.m., you can examine this mystery for yourself when the new 45-minute AE 9-11 Truth documentary “SEVEN” will be shown on the big screen in the Greenfield Garden Cinema on Main Street.
It is sponsored by Flyby News and a group of concerned citizens. The showing will be followed by a discussion and there will be free information available to take home.
We invite you to come and investigate in a deeper way questions about what may be one of the most important issues of our time. It certainly is one that precipitated 20 years of expensive and useless wars now ending in failure with our leaving of Afghanistan.
Patricia Greene lives in Greenfield.
