CSA program starts May 1

SUNDERLAND — The Sunderland Farm Collaborative is now enrolling for a Healthy Incentives Program (HIP) CSA program that begins May 1.

The HIP CSA allows customers who are eligible for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to shop online for local fruits and vegetables on the Sunderland Farm Collaborative storefront at sunderlandfarmco.com, according to a press release from the collaborative.

The Sunderland Farm Collaborative’s HIP CSA program automatically transfers HIP customers’ monthly HIP benefits (either $40 or $60 per month) to their collaborative account on the first of the month. They can then shop online at sunderlandfarmco.com to choose fruits and vegetables each week from area farms.
