Stanley W.

Lewandowski Jr.

Shelburne Falls, MA – Stan passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Stanley and Carolyn.

Stan’s greatest accomplishment in life was his family. He is survived by his devoted wife of over 30 years, Jodi; his son Stanley; his son Bryan and daughter-in-law Marina; and his daughter Stacie and son-in-law Brian. Stan’s greatest joys were his two grandsons, Anthony and Nathaniel, whose laughter and love brought him immeasurable happiness. He is also survived by his beloved dogs, Dobbie and Scooby, who refused to leave his side in his final days. Stan also leaves behind his extended family and numerous life long friends.

Stan was a man of many passions and hobbies, and nothing made him happier than sharing them with the people he loved. In his younger years he loved playing softball and flying remote-control model airplanes – a hobby he joyfully returned to in his final years, traveling with Jodi to multiple air shows. He cherished long rides, whether on a motorcycle, in the truck, or on a snowmobile. An avid NASCAR and NHRA fan, Stan loved traveling the country in the camper to experience races firsthand.

Stan was always eager to learn something new and forever dreaming up the next great adventure – from raising chickens and keeping bees to tapping maple trees for syrup. He passed these joys and passions on to his children, who will forever cherish the time spent creating and building things alongside their dad: working on their homes, fixing cars, and boiling maple syrup together.

Stan’s greatest fulfillment came from being present and involved in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives. He helped coach his children’s sport teams, and in his daughter’s younger years, he got creative building props for her dance recitals. He simply wanted his kids to remember him and to treasure the time they had together.

Stan was a genuine, kind, loving, and deeply respectful man who made every person he met feel valued. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and among the first to ask how he could help or be of assistance. He wanted to leave behind a few final words for his family and friends he loved so dearly: he wanted everyone to know how much he loved them and how immeasurably proud he was of his children. He urged everyone to take the trips they’ve always longed to take and to spend time doing the things they love – but more than anything, he implored the people he loved to get together, to truly respect one another, and to never take for granted the time they have with each other. He knew, perhaps better than most, how precious and fleeting that time is. Stan hoped above all else to be remembered for the love, respect, and genuine care he showed to every person in his life, and he asked that those he leaves behind carry that same spirit forward.

“Life is short, and you always think you have more time.”

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Family will relay the details as arrangements are finalized.
