AGAWAM — The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Western Massachusetts is holding its 20th annual virtual walkathon celebration, called “A Journey of Hope and Recovery,” on Aug. 23, starting at 11 a.m.
The event is suitable for all ages and will benefit NAMI Western Massachusetts in its efforts to improve the lives of individuals living with mental health conditions and their families, according to a press release from the organization. NAMI provides advocacy, education and support, and works to increase public awareness.
Among the event’s festivities will be guest speakers, art activities, videos and raffles. Residents are welcome to participate in the virtual walk or provide sponsorship, the release states.
