ERVING — Jennifer Eichorn has been elected as town treasurer, defeating incumbent Julie Wonkka.
This was the only contested race in the town election on Monday. In the official count, 182 people voted, out of 1,160 registered voters, according to Town Clerk Richard Newton. Eichorn had 118 votes while Wonkka had 60.
An open position on the Erving School Committee had no candidates on the ballot, but Jocelyn Margola-Leete was elected as a write-in candidate, with six votes. Newton said he has not yet confirmed whether she will accept.
All other positions on the ballot involved uncontested re-elections of incumbents.
Eichorn, a middle school math teacher at Pioneer Valley Regional School, has an associate’s degree in business from Greenfield Community College and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
