‘Not guilty’

I’m surprised that the solution isn’t apparent. When a suspect is taken for their first court appearance their attorney always pleads “not guilty.” That plea always exacts a prolonged protracted process that serves the lawyer well. In the public interest for truth, justice, public safety and public health all the inmates that have had a “not guilty” plea entered for them by “honest” lawyers who believe the plea of “not guilty” is accurate should shelter these inmates in their homes for the duration of the crisis as their demonstration of acting in the public interest. It’s the socially responsible and humanitarian thing to do.
