As we sit at home in frustration, we need to pause for a moment and think of those who cannot stay at home but must go forth and serve others. I wish that I could visit my loved one confined in a nursing home, but since I cannot, at least I am comforted in the knowledge that she is well cared for. Every day I offer a prayer for those caregivers who don’t have a mask and gown and provide loving care for patients in hospitals and nursing homes. I specifically thank God for those nurses and caregivers at Buckley Nursing Home. Despite what is behind the stark headlines, these brave and dedicated people offer loving care 24 hours, seven days a week to those we cannot help. God bless them all.
