SOUTH HADLEY — The Greenfield Cooperative Bank and its Northampton Cooperative Bank division recently opened a new office at 487 Newton St. in South Hadley.
“We are pleased to bring our brand of personal community banking to the residents in South Hadley and surrounding communities,” said President and CEO Michael E. Tucker.
According to a Greenfield Cooperative Bank press release, the new site is a full-service office, providing savings and checking services, commercial and residential mortgage loans, and business accounts. Other offerings include drive-up teller services, a night depository, a 24-hour ATM, instant issue debit cards and safe deposit boxes.
The branch officially opened on Jan. 13 with a brief ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by local businesspeople, several South Hadley town officials, and staff and directors from the Greenfield Cooperative Bank, the press release states.
During the coming weeks, the public is invited to stop by to see the office, enjoy free refreshments and receive a free gift. Visitors are encouraged to introduce themselves to any of the branch staff including Courtney Huxley, assistant vice president and branch manager, and Maureen Guzik, vice president of commercial lending.
Greenfield Cooperative Bank and its Northampton Cooperative Bank division, which have 10 offices in all, already have a large customer base in Hampshire County. According to the release, the South Hadley office will enable the bank to better serve existing customers and bring the benefits of community banking to the rest of the southern Hampshire County area.
