GREENFIELD — Greenfield Community College is offering space on Saturday to view and discuss the presentations by local leaders during TEDxEasthamptonWomen.

TEDxWomen events focus on topics especially relevant to women. Attendees may come and go throughout the free watch party, staying for one 18-minute talk or for the whole day, which will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the dining commons. The event will be livestreamed by Easthampton Media, available to anyone with internet, according to a GCC press release.

While live attendance at TEDx events is limited to 100 people due to TED regulations, the watch parties are opportunities to both view and interact directly with others, which supports the TED mission of spreading life-changing ideas, the release states. The University of Massachusetts Amherst Isenberg School of Management Business Innovation Hub will also offer viewing space in Room N135.

The speakers for TEDxEasthamptonWomen 2019 are Moumita Dasgupta, Ang Roell, Joli Hamilton, Elizabeth Stordeur Pryor, Pam Victor, Lynne Marie Wanamaker, Maya Mintz Coccoluto and Mila Getmansky Sherman. The master of ceremonies for the GCC watch party will be GCC President Yves Salomon-Fernandez.

There will also be two interlude acts: acoustic music by Elyse Langer-Smith and an onstage art painting by Naya Gabriel.

“As a college whose doors are open to ‘all who seek to learn,’ we are honored to host a watch party for TEDxEasthamptonWomen 2019,” said GCC Associate Dean for Community Engagement Judy Raper. “We look forward to welcoming members of the community who are excited to learn and engage with others, since we share their passion for transformational change.”
