SHELBURNE FALLS — Drivers involved in a three-car crash on Route 2 Friday morning walked away with minor injuries, despite heavy damage to two of the vehicles.
According to a post on the Shelburne Falls Fire Department’s Facebook page, the crash occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. near Skinner Road on Route 2. All of the individuals involved were reportedly out of their vehicles when first responders arrived.
Ambulances from American Medical Response (AMR) and Shelburne Falls transported two patients to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield with minor injuries, the post states.
“More people are walking away from crashes and the vehicles are taking the forces of the crash rather than the occupants,” the post reads. “But one must remember it all begins with seat belt use.”
