A recent story about the ROE Act, providing access to abortion, in Massachusetts regardless of federal ruling, was likened to the Y2K computer issue by an ex-U.S. Attorney General. He just proved how little he knows about the computer issue, and how willing he (and his group) are willing to use unrelated issues to support their cause.
Just like in fire prevention, you really can’t prove you prevented a fire, so too the Y2K issue was avoided by years and many man-hours of technical review and programmer corrections to save the average person and, more important, banks, from the repercussion of the millennium error.
In fact, the ROE Act is exactly like the Y2K situation. It is preparation, no matter what happens at SCOTUS. Massachusetts will continue to support its women and their control over their own bodies. This story also re-enforces how many politicians and bureaucrats need to go and, even so, stop talking where they know not.
