CHARLEMONT — The town has six vacancies on its election ballot this year.
Charlemont’s annual election is scheduled Tuesday, noon to 7 p.m. at Hawlemont Regional Elementary School. The Annual Town Meeting is also scheduled Tuesday, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Hawlemont.
The following six town positions have vacant seats: the Board of Assessors, Board of Health, Mohawk Trail Regional District School Committee, Local Education Council, plus two positions on the Hawlemont Regional District School Committee.
All seven candidates running for eight positions are incumbents.
Jonathan Healy is running for a Selectboard seat, with a three-year term.
Evelyn Locke is running for a seat on the Mohawk Trail Regional District School Committee, with a three-year term. Locke is also running for re-election for a seat on the Tyler Library Trustee, with a three-year term.
Gisela Walker is running for a Planning Board seat, with a five-year term.
William Harker is running for a Planning Board seat, with a five-year term.
Thomas Shields is running for a Parks and Recreation Committee seat, with a five-year term.
Charlotte Dewey is running for moderator, with a one-year term.
Erwin Reynolds Jr. is running for constable, with a three-year term.
