SHELBURNE — With no contested races, only six percent of the town’s registered voters — or 76 of 1,352 townspeople — cast a ballot in Monday’s annual town election.

After election day wrapped and votes were counted, 9 townspeople secured 10 seats on various municipal committees and boards.

The single question on the ballot — to change the town tax collector from an elected to an appointed position — narrowly passed with 36 votes in support and 31 opposed.

The results are:

■Selectboard, three-year term: Robert Manners, 60 votes.

■Town assessor, three-year term: James Richardson, 62 votes

■Tree warden, one-year term: James Richardson, 61 votes

■Town clerk, one-year term: Joe Judd, 74 votes

■Town moderators, one-year term: Sylvia Smith, 68 votes

■Shelburne Free Public Library Trustees, three-year terms: Judith Kulp and Launie York, 71 votes each

■Recreation Committee, five-year term: Norman Beebe, 69 votes

■Mohawk Trail Regional School Committee, three-year term: Bradley Walker, 64 votes.

■Town constable, one-year term: James Stacy, 70 votes

■Town constable, three-year term: Laura Manners, 70 votes
