Scotland’s Jim Malcolm is returning to the Pioneer Valley on Sunday, April 7, to perform at the Polish American Citizens Club, 46 South Main St. in South Deerfield, at 4:30 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m.

Traveling the world with his guitar and harmonicas, Malcolm sings the traditional songs of Scotland and his own masterfully crafted songs in a style that is modern and accessible, yet utterly authentic. He is highly regarded as an interpreter of Robert Burns’ songs.

Though he now works solo, Malcolm was lead singer with the award-winning Old Blind Dogs for eight years. With family roots in Perthshire and Strathclyde, Malcolm has been a professional musician since graduating from Edinburgh University.

The event also includes a potluck and open music session, so attendees are encouraged to bring their instruments. Tickets, which are $20, can be reserved by calling 413-548-9860.
