WORCESTER — One person has died in a house fire in Worcester.
Fire officials say the person, who they didn’t immediately identify, was found amid the debris as firefighters battled a blaze at a two-story residence.
One got out from a second floor window and was rescued from the first floor roof. The other exited from the first floor and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officials say frigid cold, heavy flames and “an enormous amount of debris” in the house hindered rescue efforts.
