The Western Massachusetts Network to End Homelessness is hosting an event, “Homelessness in Western Massachusetts: The Numbers, the Solutions, the Partnerships,” today from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Greenfield Community College dining commons.

The event will provide a data report on homelessness in the western region, review innovative strategies to address it and create opportunities for increased collaboration across the four western counties to prevent and end homelessness in the region.

Several legislators will attend, including Sen-elect Jo Comerford, a representative from Sen. Adam Hinds’ office, Rep-elect Natalie Blais and a representative from Paul Mark’s office. Franklin County Sheriff Christopher Donelan will also attend, and a representative from Greenfield Mayor William Martin’s office will be there, along with other area leaders.

Greenfield City Council President Karen “Rudy” Renaud has confirmed that she will be there, along with city councilors Tim Dolan and Otis Wheeler. Housing authority directors from Greenfield, Northampton and other western Massachusetts towns and cities will attend. There will also be representatives from numerous area hospitals, colleges and state agencies in attendance.
