Greenfield, MA – Cynthia A. (Allen) Bukowski, 71, of Laurel Street, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026. Cindy was born in Sanford, Maine, on June 20, 1955, the daughter of Robert and Phyllis (Turner) Allen. She graduated from Greenfield Community College. She worked for many years in the deli department at Stop & Shop before pursuing a career as a staff counselor at the Greenfield Family Inn, where she did what she loved and helped those in need. She remained there until her retirement in 2020. Cindy was a kind and fiercely independent woman. She enjoyed baking pies and cookies to share with others, especially sugar cookies at Christmas. She had a special affection for teddy bears, and loved arts and crafts. Her favorite color was purple, any shade of purple, all things purple. She enjoyed shopping, whether in stores or through catalogs, and also enjoyed crossword puzzles, but her greatest joy came from caring for and spending time with her family. She especially adored her two grandsons, whom she loved dearly and spoiled whenever she could, without apology. Cindy is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Jordan and husband Jonathan Jordan of Greenfield and Stephanie Viscomi and husband Christopher Viscomi of Upton, Massachusetts; her grandsons, Nathan Brooks and Hunter Viscomi; her sister, Linda Allen, with whom she resided in Greenfield; and her brothers, Loren Allen and Gary Allen. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Phyllis Allen, and brother, James Allen. Services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Smith-Kelleher Funeral Home, 40 Church Street, Shelburne Falls. Visiting hours will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Arms Cemetery.
