Doug Farrick shot 38 to earn match medalist honors, but the team of Brian Cocco and Jesse Putnam earned low gross honors with a 36 at the Timmons League Wednesday night at Northfield Golf Course.
Dave Snow and Scott Deleo won a match of cards to take second place with a gross of 37.
The low net was captured by Matt Sykes and Matt Deane with a 28. Jack Letourneau and Pete Blake won a match of cards for second place with a 29.
Sykes was closest to the pin on No. 6 at just 8 inches, while Dave Bonnett was closest on No. 7 at 11-9.
Deerfield Academy
Sharon Kereke scored a pair of goals, and the Deerfield Academy field hockey team picked up a 4-3 win over Milton, Wednesday afternoon in Pomfret, Conn.
Maggie Roche and Mimi Pastor also found the back of the net for the Big Green, which remained undefeated at 4-0 this fall.
• Elsewhere, the boys soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to Taft and the volleyball team was swept by Loomis Chaffee in three tight sets, 25-23, 31-29, 25-20.
NMH field hockey
It was tough sledding for the Northfield Mount Hermon field hockey team, which dropped a 9-0 decision to Kimball Union in action Wednesday afternoon in Meriden, N.H.
The Hoggers fell to 2-2 with the defeat.
Greenfield singles league
Tim Prevost wound up with a total of 220 points, taking first place in the Agassi Division as the Greenfield Singles Tennis League closed out its 2018 season.
Jeff Palmer was second in the division with 199 points, followed in third place by Kyle Maroni with 198 points.
In the Borg Division, Josh Provencher took first place with 209 points, followed by Ian Turners (200 points) and Phil Elmer (178).
Ken Hubbard won the Connors Division with 194 points. Richard Corey was the runner-up with 168 points, and Derrick Hart was third with 112.
Fall Classic Doubles
The Greenfield Tennis Association will hold its Fall Classic Doubles on Saturday and Sunday at the Highland Park Clay Courts.
Teams can be men, women, mixed and juniors and costs $20 per team. Teams must register by Friday at 5 p.m.
All matches will be best of three set and single elimination with consolation round. Each team must bring an unopened can of balls. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. To register contact HBovio@yahoo.com or call 369-4121.
