BUCKLAND — Changes to the Mohawk Trail Regional School District Agreement approved by annual Town Meeting voters in eight member towns have been approved by the state Board of Education.
A letter from the state Elementary and Secondary Education Commissioner Jeffrey C. Riley indicates that the three amendments comply with state regulations. One amendment removes the Rowe tuition calculation from the regional agreement, and another amendment clarifies the tuition and transportation responsibilities for Mohawk towns that do not belong to a vocational school district. It also lets Mohawk establish an advisory committee to work out vocational transportation arrangements on behalf of those Mohawk towns.
These changes were supported by all of Mohawk’s member towns, with the tuition change also supported by Rowe.
