In this region, we do a lot of things well. But we do one thing particularly well: We work together in order to tackle significant challenges.

Natalie Blais has been at the table with many of us throughout the years in order to find innovative solutions to the challenges facing the region. Those tables have been in town offices, cramped basement conference rooms, community college and university classrooms, senior centers, regional housing authorities, veterans’ service offices, public transportation offices and people’s kitchens.

As you consider the candidates vying for the First Franklin District seat, I urge you to thoughtfully consider who you want at the table representing us in Boston.

I want someone who has lived and worked in the district for over a decade. I want someone who is willing to sit down and work alongside me to identify opportunities for my community and ways to accomplish our goals. I want someone with a proven record of impactful projects behind them to build on as our state representative. I want a progressive voice that will fight for universal single payer healthcare, lead the fight against climate change, advocate for fully funding for our local schools and identify innovative ways to enhance the economic vitality of our region. I want someone who can easily step in to fill Steve Kulik’s very large shoes.

We need Natalie Blais’ voice and experience in Boston. We need her at the table to ensure our voices are heard. I’m voting for Natalie Sept. 4. and I hope you will, too.
