A gas engine-operated Maytag washing machine, last used in 1931, is on display at the Yankee Engine-uity gas engine show at the Orange airport. In the background, Gordon Wiley from Bristol, Maine, brought the machine to the show. He did not know when it was manufactured, but said the last time it was used was in 1931 by Frank Griggs from Portland, Maine. Wiley said he started collecting old engines about 15 years ago. He said his grandfather did the same thing and got him interested.

History buffs enjoyed machines from past eras on display at the Yankee Engine-uity gas engine show. The event took place at the Orange airport this past weekend.
