BUCKLAND — Dena Willmore will serve a second term on the Selectboard. She was re-elected by a vote of 108 to 47 against write-in candidate Helen M. O’Gorman.

Monday’s annual town election brought 172 voters to the polls, out of 1,174 registered voters.

The following incumbents were re-elected: Assessor Elizabeth Cerone (three-year term); Moderator Phoebe Walker (one-year term); and Constable Floyd Scott (three-year term).

Board of Health Chairman Richard Warner was re-elected to another three-year term as a write-in candidate. Catherine Russillo won her seat as a Buckland Public Library trustee by a write-in vote.

Ciara Hayden was elected to a three-year seat on the Finance Committee. Another vacancy on that board may be filled by a write-in candidate, but it was not certain Monday night whether the person with the most write-in votes would take the position.

By a vote of 110 to 35, voters approved a debt exclusion that would enable the Mohawk Trail Regional School District to borrow $230,000 for repairs, including floor replacement and asbestos abatement at the Buckland-Shelburne Elementary School. The debt exclusion would allow the town to temporarily raise taxes above the Proposition 2½ levy limit, until the debt is paid off.
