Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield will host the Parade of Skaters, a 2018 exhibition of skating achievements, on Saturday from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

The exhibition, presented by the New England West Skating Club (NEWSC), will feature 25 local skaters from Franklin County and the Pioneer Valley. The suggested donation for tickets is $5 for adults. Children under 12 are free.

Babe Ruth signups

The Franklin County Babe Ruth Baseball League will be out and about all week accepting registrations for the upcoming season, which does not coincide with school baseball.

The league will be at Frontier Regional School in South Deerfield tonight and Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. The league will be at Pioneer Valley Regional School tonight from 5 to 7 p.m., and at Greenfield Middle School Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Additional sign-up sessions will occur at Abercrombie Field in Greenfield between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on the next two Saturdays.

The league is open to ballplayers ranging in age from 13 to 15. The cutoff date is April 30, which means candidates can’t turn 13 or 16 before that date. The league is also open to 12-year-olds, who are playing on 70 or 90 foot diamonds.

CVSOA course

The Connecticut Valley Soccer Officials Association will conduct an instructional course for candidates for membership during April and May.

Members of the CVSOA officiate scholastic matches in Franklin and Hampshire counties during the fall. Members must by 18 years of age or older and must pass a national background check.
