April Vacation Week: Sign up for a fun week of activities, games and outdoor fun for your child in grades kindergarten through 7. This program takes place at the Youth Center on 20 Sanderson St. from Tuesday, April 17, through Friday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Early care is available from 7:30 to 9 a.m. and late care from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Walking field trips to Beacon Field and Federal Street School playgrounds. Lunch, afternoon snack and drink must be sent with child. Morning snack provided. Registration deadline is April 3. $120 residents, $130 non-residents.

Summer Camp Registration Opens April 2: Be sure to register early, as camp fills quickly. Registration must be completed and a $25 deposit per camper per session is due at the time of registration. For more information, visit: greenfieldrecreation.com.

Parking Meter Painting: In celebration of Mass ArtWeek, join us in helping make Greenfield more beautiful one parking meter at a time. In this self-guided program, meters will be available to paint over the course of three days. Artists 16 and older may work independently, and we ask that younger children participate with the guidance of an adult partner. Canvasses will also be provided for young artists interested in creating an independent masterpiece. This event is free, but registration is required. Due to limited meters available, registered participants will be provided with one meter per group. Project begins Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, May 1 to 3, 5 to 7 p.m., at the Youth Center /Greenfield Recreation.

Swim Area Season Passes: Purchase or renew your season pass to the Green River Swimming and recreation area by May 1 to receive the early bird special of four free guest passes and a coupon for a free ice cream.

Tee Ball: Tee Ball is for ages 5 to 7 (must be 5 at the start of the program). Players will learn fundamental skills and good sportsmanship through confidence building drills and activities along with scrimmages. Saturdays, May 5 through June 9, 8:30 to 10 a.m. $35 residents, $45 non-residents. Volunteer coaches needed.

Buddy Baseball: Buddy Baseball begins Saturday, May 12, and runs through June 23 from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Greenfield Middle School. This program is for boys and girls with disabilities, where each player will have a peer buddy to assist with skills the player cannot perform. Buddies and coaches are needed for this program. $25 residents, $35 non-residents.

Start Smart Baseball: Start Smart Baseball is for children 3 to 5 and teaches children the basic skills necessary to play organized baseball while spending time with their parents. All participants leave with their own baseball kit. Tuesdays, May 15 to June 19, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Greenfield swim area. $45 residents, $55 non-residents.
