Mother Goose on the Loose: 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesdays and Fridays. Kay Lyons leads a lap-sit story hour for children ages 3 and younger (with a grown-up). Lyons reads books, leads the group in hand rhymes and uses puppets to teach animal sounds and other concepts. Each session is 45 minutes, with a half-hour of structured activity and about 15 minutes of visiting time.
Writers’ Lunch Workshop: This two-hour writing workshop runs on Fridays from noon to 2 p.m. Joannah Whitney leads the program, which includes writing exercises and discussion as well as an opportunity to share. Participants are encouraged to attend the open writing periods during the week as well. There is no charge for the workshop and registration is not required.

Sound of Music Sing Along: 5:30-8:30. Get ready to yodel in Western Mass! Sing along to all the great songs from the Sound of Music. A fun, liberating night out the whole family will enjoy. Come in costume or bring a movie-themed prop and get ready to sing your heart out.
Children’s Book Writers Group: 6 to 8 p.m. A critique group for adults who write for children meets in the LeVanway Room every third Tuesday of the month. Nell Wright facilitates the group. Ukuleles with Julie: 6 p.m., Julie Stepanek and her ukuleles are back for more strumming and playing fun. Come to the library to learn ukulele with local musician, Julie Stepanek. Bring your own or borrow one of hers. This program will include a short talk, a brief lesson and a strum-along of some fun and easy songs.
