The Amandla Chorus marks its 30th anniversary this year and will kick off the celebration with an open community sing on Tuesday, Jan. 30, at 7 p.m., at Temple Israel, 27 Pierce St., in Greenfield. All are welcome to this free event where the chorus encourages guests to join in on the singing.
Amandla is a chorus based in Greenfield and made up of singers from all over the Pioneer Valley. Since 1988, Amandla has provided a soundtrack for peace and justice work in the Pioneer Valley and beyond.
Every season, the chorus presents new works with guest artists in its mission of singing world music while remaining deeply rooted in its community.
