MONTAGUE — An air-conditioner motor was cited as the cause of an evacuation at the Farren Care Center on Monday morning after smoke was reported in a patient’s room.

There were no reported injuries and everyone was back in the building within a half-hour of the initial report.

Turners Falls Fire Chief John Zellman said the air-conditioning unit was old.
