Alysia Knapp struck out nine batters leading Pipione’s Sport Shop to a 5-3 win over Crocker Communications in a Greenfield Girls’ Softball League Ponytail Division contest Monday night at Murphy Park.
Kailey James-Putnam, Aquinnah Mass and Josalyn Eastman all drove in runs for Pipione’s.
Crocker pitcher Lillia Kachelmeyer struck out seven in the circle and added an RBI at the dish. Teammate Mackenzie Paulin had a hit and an RBI, as did Caitlyn Davenport.
• In other Ponytail action Monday night, Descavich Plumbing edged Diamond Dusters, 11-10, thanks to a game-winning hit from Maya Morey.
Sora Bullock also had a hit for Descavich, which received a six-strikeout performance in the pitching circle from Lauren Ross.
Kelsey Richardson powered the Diamond Dusters with a grand slam. Teammate Kiera Stevens was 1-for-2 with a double.
• In Little Nippers Division action, Ella Tidland went 4-for-4, and Sara Curtis went 3-for-3, and Lundgren Honda defeated Purple Panthers, 4-0.
Amyilia Gilbreth and Paridise Benz each went 3-for-4 in the loss.
• In other Nipper play, Annie Cobileanschi and Madison Ryan each had three hits to lead Harper’s Store to its first win of the season with a 12-5 decision over Freedom Credit Union.
Ella Rotkiewicz and Sophia Rotkiewicz each had two hits in the win.
Shylan Eaton led Freedom with two hits, and Savannah Aldrich added one hit.
Storm results
It was an impressive start to the season for the Valley Storm 12U softball team. Playing in the Queen of the Diamonds USSSA Tournament in East Hartford, Conn., the squad won the 12U C Division top spot thanks to a 4-1-1 record on the weekend.
After posting a 1-1-1 record on Saturday, the Storm won all three of their games on Sunday to finish strong. In the championship game against NWS Elite, Bella Benoit drilled a home run and the Storm scored four runs in both of the first two innings en route to a 15-7 victory.
McKenzie McCarthy added a double in the win, while Kameryn Dearborn earned the win in the pitching circle.
There were also wins on Sunday against the Enfield Fireballs (15-3) and Westport Wreckers (8-6) to put the Storm into the title tilt.
In the win over Enfield, Abby McClaflin hit a home run, while Brielle Widelo struck out six in three innings of action. Benoit, Jocelyn Meattey and McCarthy all had doubles.
Dearborn had three hits, while teammates Rachel Dodge, Kate Trudeau and Widelo added two each en route to the victory over Westport. Jocelyn Mettey struck out nine in the circle, pitching her squad to a tight win.
Frontier Cal Ripken
Ryan Belina smacked three hits and added five RBI to power New England Greenscape to a 19-5 win over VFW Post 3295 in a Frontier Cal Ripken Minor Division youth baseball game Monday night.
Drew Bennett walked three times and scored three runs for Greenscape, while James Lavallee went 2-for-3 and also struck out five in two innings of relief.
Dylen Richardson went 2-for-2 and scored a run for VFW. Molly Gates and Coleman Hartner each had a hit and two RBIs.
• On Saturday, Griffin Smiarowski earned the win and Ty Sadoski pitched well in relief as Delta Sand & Gravel defeated Yankee Candle, 10-6, in Majors Division action.
Tyler Baranoski pitched well for Yankee Candle.

Brody Welcome went 4-for-4 and earned the win on the mound as Berkshire Insurance Company defeated Cohn & Co., 10-6, in a Greenfield Minor League AA Division baseball game Monday night at Lunt Field in Greenfield.
Everette Connolly and Benny Santiago each had three hits in the win.
Nick Prasol and Grayson Thomas each had three hits for Cohn & Co.

Alex Sulda and Ryan Demers each struck out six batters in three innings of work to lead Turners Falls Athletic Club to a 6-3 win over Greenfield Savings Bank in a Newt Guilbault Community League baseball game Monday night in Turners Falls.
TFAC won despite getting no-hit. Alex Knapp had a big defensive game at first base in the win.
Cayden Lehtomaki threw the no-hitter in the loss, striking out 11 and also doubling. Jake Lavin had a double and a single in the loss, and Brian Grace doubled.
Mark K. Memorial
Bob LaCoy, Dan Malloy, Bob Barrus, Bob Mott and Mike Keresey shot a 63 net to win the Mark K. Memorial Mixed Golf League at Oak Ridge Golf Club in Gill on Monday.
Fred Llewelyn, James Fowler, Don Parda and Doug Field came in second with a 67.
