COLRAIN — Of Colrain’s 1,449 registered voters, 79 cast their ballots in Tuesday’s town election, making for a roughly 5.5% voter turnout in an election that saw no contested races and multiple positions with no ballot candidates.

There was a failure to elect a constable for a three-year term, as two people received three write-in votes, resulting in a tie between Karen Hopkins and Joe Slowinski.

Dennis DePaolo received 16 write-in votes for a three-year term on the Mohawk Trail Regional School District School Committee.

The remaining results are as follows:

  • Board of Assessors, three-year term — Dwight Harrison, 71 votes.
  • Selectboard, three-year term — Emily Thurber, 71 votes.
  • Library trustees, two seats with three-year terms — Cheli Mennella, 68 votes, and Tasha Gilbert, 69 votes.
