A Franklin County Grand Jury on Friday indicted Christopher Vinsant, 30, of Athol on one count of murder in connection with the July 10, 2013 death of Isaiah Buckner, 10, of Athol.
According to Mary Carey, of the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, Buckner was in Vinsant’s care, when he was rushed to the hospital with abdominal trauma, from which he later died.
Vinsant is being held until his arraignment in Franklin Superior Court in Greenfield early next week.
The case was investigated by Athol Police and Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office.
