BUCKLAND — The Planning Board will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, March 29, to get input on what it says are several small changes and “housekeeping” items on the annual town meeting warrant.

The hearing will begin at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.

The proposed changes concern the following:

Common driveways. Now only allowed in subdivisions, the change is to include a stand-alone provision for other situations, by special permit.

Keeping chickens on lots smaller than five acres. This currently requires a special permit, but the board’s proposal would allow up to eight hens “by right,” with restrictions.

Cell tower balloon tests would be required to take place within 30 days before a public hearing. Currently, there is no specified time frame. This 30-day requirement would also apply to wind turbine balloon test or crane tests.

Language clarifications and editing.
