Montague , MA – Robert L Powers passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on 4/21/26. He was the son on Phyllis and Donald Powers. He was born in Brattleboro, VT and attended schools in Brattleboro and California.
During his career he worked for Butter Publications, Boeing and Maine Yankee Nuclear Power Plant. He went on to obtain his Master Electrical License and worked for Erving Paper Mill and finally retiring from Northeast Utilities.
He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, boating and traveling. He was willing to fix or build just about anything.
He leaves behind his wife Gloria just a month shy of their 48th wedding anniversary. His daughters, Melanie, Melissa (Ralph), Heather, Sarah(Matt) and son Gregg. 15 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves his brother, Donald, sisters Brenda, Debbie, Diana(John), along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and an Aunt.
Per his wishes, there will not be any services.
The family would like to extend their gratitude towards Pioneer Valley Hospice for aiding the family and helping care for him at home.
