Marcia Brooks of Coldwell Banker Upton-Massamont Realtors in South Deerfield has received the designation of Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI). It was given by Massachusetts Association of Realtors President Corinne Fitzgerald.

The GRI designation signifies 90 hours of advanced in-class real estate education. Realtors who pass the GRI examination are recognized as having attained one of the highest professional levels in residential real estate.

Brooks grew up in Shelburne Falls, attending local schools and graduating from Bay Path College, and lives in Deerfield. She and her husband, Charles, bought their first home, an 1840s farmhouse in Shelburne, and began extensive renovations while raising their two daughters, Elise and Hannah.

Long active in civic organizations and community service, Brooks is a combined 25-year member of the South Deerfield Women’s Club, as well as past president of the Shelburne Falls Women’s Club. She chaired various committees and fundraising events in both communities. She also served two terms on the Deerfield School Committee.

Brooks has received Outstanding Sales and Service awards every year and is a Zillow Premier Agent.
