Adam Savoy and Jacob Bryant had two goals each Sunday to lead Franklin County Hockey Association Dillon Chevrolet to a 6-2 win over Springfield Capitals in a Greater Springfield League Bantam Division hockey game Sunday at Cyr Arena in Springfield.

Kyle Barnes and Tony Wozny each added a goal, and Wozny collected a pair of assists. Savoy also had three points with an assist to go with the two goals. Jake Croteau and Sam Battisti each chipped in an assist. Jordyn Lavallee made 13 saves.

• On Saturday, Bryant notched two goals and an assist and Dillon Chevrolet knocked off the Keene Cobras, 5-3, at the Keene Ice Area in Keene, N.H.

Barnes had a goal and an assist, Hunter Haughey and Porter Clancy each scored once, and Croteau added one helper. Lavallee finished with 19 saves.

Squirts White win back-to-back

Jackson Caron scored twice Sunday, and Griffin Mariani had one goal and an assist as FCHA Gilmore & Farrell Squirts White edged Nonotuck, 4-3, in a GSL Squirt White Division hockey game at Collins-Moylan Arena in Greenfield.

Anson Prunier also scored in the win. Camden Skiffington made 13 saves.

• On Saturday, Gigi Grima tallied a pair of goals and Gilmore & Farrell beat Keene, 5-2.

Mariani and Caron each had a goal and an assist, and Campbell Ardrey scored an empty-net goal. Skiffington made 11 saves.

Gilmore-Farrell unbeaten

Brady Booska and Jake Jurek scored in the third period and FCHA Gilmore & Farrell Green played to a 3-3 tie with Holy Name Black in a GSL Squirt game Sunday at Collins-Moylan Arena.

Jake Knight also scored for FCHA, and Jack Petrin made 18 saves. Talan Wissman played well defensively.

• On Saturday, Jake Petrin registered a hat trick to lead Gilmore & Farrell to a 6-4 win over Keene Cobras in Keene.

Gilmore & Farrell scored twice in every period. Jake Knight scored twice and Jurek scored once. Booska stopped 15 shots to pick up the net win. Loki Rhodes played well defensively.

Vipers drop pair

The Dillon Chevrolet FCHA Vipers lost 3-2 to Keene Sunday at Collins-Moylan Arena in GSL PeeWee North Division action.

Brodie Gagne and Matt Lavoine scored for FCHA. Kam Tompkins, Sam Knight and Shane Prusak added assists. Trevor Parkinson made 25 saves in net and Hunter Smith, Dylan Archer, Lila Roche, Jayson Smith and EathonBryant played well on defense.

• On Saturday, Hunter Smith scored to lone goal during Dillon’s 6-1 loss to Brattleboro at the Olympia in West Springfield.

Trevor Kuchieski and MJ Paulin had the assists. Parkinson made 21 saves in net.

J & J Hockey falls

Billy Woodall scored twice Sunday and J & J Hockey lost 7-4 to Keene in a Peewee East Division game at Collins-Moylan Arena.

Ben Carlan had a goal and an assist, and Jamison Baleno scored once. Roger Grondin Jr. had a pair of assists, while Shea Savage, Dylan Mahar and Chris Phelps each had one assist.

Josh Bordeaux played well in net with 36 saves.

Hockey

Deerfield saw its two-game winning streak halted on Saturday with a 4-1 loss to Salisbury School in a boys’ prep hockey game in Deerfield. The Big Green is 6-4.

Youth basketball

Pioneer 7/8 sweeps

Josh Glazier scored 13 points Sunday to lead Pioneer to a 53-20 win over Amherst in a grades 7 & 8 Suburban League boys’ basketball game in Amherst.

Quinn Grover added 12 points in the win. Pioneer is now 8-0 on the season.

• On Saturday, Troy Emond dumped in 11 points as Pioneer bested Turners Falls, 60-18, at Messer Gymnasium in Northfield.

Glazier finished with 10 points. Caleb Chapin added 8.

Nick Lyons led Turners Falls with 7 points.

Frontier CYO wins

Georgia Sackrey scored 10 points Sunday to lead Frontier to a 32-11 win over West Springfield in a grades 5 and 6 Christian Youth Organization girls’ basketball game.

Jillian Apanell scored 8 points. Gabby Frangie scored 6 points, Hailey Hutkoski netted 5 and Logan Landmark tossed in 3.

Frontier 5/6 wins

Will Chalfant scored 19 points and had 2 assists on Sunday to lead Frontier to a 52-41 win over Greenfield in a grades 5 and 6 SL basketball game.

Dan Fellows had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals in the win, and Brady Burch had 2 points, 6 assists and 7 steals. Ty Sadoski finished with 8 points and 4 rebounds, and Liam Skribiski-Banack had 5 points, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. David Gray notched 4 points, and Erich Brown and Aiden Dredge each had 3 points.

Greenfield did not report stats.

Wrestling

Deerfield Academy won its third strasight match to run its season record to 4-1 with a 42-33 prep wrestling victory over Williston-Northampton School Saturday in Easthampton.

Basketball

The Deerfield Academy boys’ basketball team suffered its first loss of 2017 Saturday, 54-38 to Williston in Easthampton.

The team had been 2-0 since the turn of the calendar, including a 63-60 win over Hotchkiss School Friday night in Deerfield. The Big Green is 3-7.
