ABINGTON, Mass. (AP) — Police say a man accidentally shot himself inside a home in Abington.
The Enterprise of Brockton reports that a man called police at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday to report that he had shot himself in the left leg while in a bedroom in the house.
Responding officers found the man conscious and alert at the side door to the home. Firefighters determined a single bullet entered the side of the man’s left leg and exited his calf.
He was taken by ambulance to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.
His name was not made public.
Police say the man is licensed to carry a gun.
Police did not say what led to the shooting.
