Admitted to sufficient facts for possessing a Class A drug, to wit, heroin, amended from trafficking in 18 grams or more, or less than 36 grams-of-heroin/morphine/opium, but continued without a finding until 9/12/17 with victim-witness assessment of $50, and must take and complete a substance abuse evaluation, and treatment, and must have mental health evaluation and treatment, and take any after-care recommended. Must have no drugs or alcohol, and subject to screens/tests. Charge of conspiracy to violate drug laws, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay counsel fee of $150, or perform 16 hours of community service. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month, or perform eight hours a month community service.

Carly J. Casten, 32, of Fiske Avenue, Greenfield. Found responsible for operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, to be dismissed on payment of a $75 fine, and decriminalized, to wit, converted to a civil offense.

Travis Shepherd, 35, of Riverbend Street, Athol. Admitted to sufficient facts for assault and battery on family/household member, but continued without a finding until 12/5/17, with victim-witness assessment of $50, and must take and complete the certified batterer’s intervention program, but the court’s assessment of $350 is waived for the program. Charge of strangulation or suffocation, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150. Katherine C. Pallos, 67, of Highland Village, Shelburne Falls. Placed on pretrial probation until 3/7/17 for violation of harassment prevention order, and must have no contact with a named person. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Albert H. Rimbach, 69, of Creamery Road, Ashfield. Pleaded innocent to marked lanes violation, and operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, subsequent offense, in Whately, released on personal recognizance, continued to 1/27/17 for pretrial conference.

Robert L. Johnson, 54, of Hoosac Road, Deerfield. Pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle with license suspended for operating under the influence of alcohol, sentenced to 60 days in the house of correction, direct, with credit for time held. Pleaded guilty to negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and sentenced to the same 60 days in the house of correction, direct, and concurrent with the first docket item. Charge of failure to stop for police, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Found not responsible for speeding, and failure to drive in the right lane.

Ashley Patten, 25, of Turners Falls Road, Turners Falls. Admitted to sufficient facts for resisting arrest, but continued without a finding until 6/7/17 with victim-witness assessment of $50. Charges of assault and battery on family/household member, and assault and battery on a police officer, were both dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150. Must pay $50 per month probation supervision fee.

Brian P. Jacobson, 56, of Chappell Drive, Gill pleaded innocent to assault and battery, released on personal recognizance, continued to 12/29/16 for pretrial conference. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Brian A. Coppola, 31, of Leyden Road, Greenfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for negligent operation of a motor vehicle, in Deerfield by a member of the public, but continued without a finding until 6/7/17 with victim-witness assessment of $50, and must attend and complete the safe driver’s course. Must pay $50 per month probation supervision fee.

Brian A. Coppola, 31, of Leyden road, Greenfield. Charges of operating under the influence of liquor, and speeding, in Deerfield, were not prosecuted, as, according to a statement made by a counsel from the district attorney’s office, (the charges were) replaced by the preceding case.

Eric Bell, 27, of Fourth Street, Turners Falls. Admitted to sufficient facts for interfering with a firefighter, but continued without a finding until 11/7/17, with victim witness assessment of $90, and must have no alcohol and subject to screens and testing, and must comply with the SCRAM unit. Charge of disorderly conduct, dismissed on request of the commonwealth. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month. Or community service ordered and not to be assessed if paying on another case.

Daniel D. Doran III, 30, of East Buckland Road, Buckland. Admitted to sufficient facts for operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, in Greenfield by state police, but continued without a finding until 4/7/17, with victim witness assessment of $50, and must have no driving until the Registry of Motor Vehicles reinstates the license. Found not responsible for number plate violation, Must pay $50 per month probation supervision fee.

Kim L. McPhail, 44, of Phillips Street, Greenfield. Found responsible for number plate violation, fined $50. Found not responsible for operating a motor vehicle with license suspended.

John F. Kane, 27, of West Leyden Road, Colrain. Pleaded guilty to negligent operation of a motor vehicle, in Greenfield, placed on probation until 12/6/17, with 60-days loss of license, plus head injury assessment of $250, and victim witness assessment of $50, and must continue counseling. Charges of number plate violation to conceal identification, failure to stop for police, possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, unregistered motor vehicle, and uninsured motor vehicle, all dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Found not responsible for speeding. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month, or perform eight hours a month to community service.

James A. Fournier, 51, listed to a Post Office box in Turners Falls. Found responsible for miscellaneous municipal motor vehicle ordinance or bylaw, to wit, consuming alcohol on a public way in Montague, fined $35. And decriminalized, to wit, converted to a civil offense.

Kimberly A. Squires, 49, of Hillcrest Drive, Bernardston. Pleaded guilty to larceny over $250, from the Country Jeweler in Greenfield, placed on probation until 12/6/18 with victim witness assessment of $90, and must have mental health evaluation, and take any after care recommended, must stay 50 yards away from and have no contact with named victims, and must perform 100 hours of community service. Pleaded guilty to charges of larceny over $250, (second charge) and two charges of receiving stolen property, and all with the same conditions as in count one. Must pay counsel fee of $150, or perform 16 hours of community service. Must perform eight hours per month community service in lieu of probation supervision fee.

Kimberly A. Squires, 49, of High Street, Greenfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for violation of an abuse prevention order, in Bernardston, different date from previous case, but continued without a finding until 12/6/18, with same conditions as in, and concurrent with, previous case.
