I thank the brothers and sisters of the Colrain Community Church, especially Teresa and Bruce Dearborn and Pastor Bob, who made it possible for my military service to be honored at Fenway Park on August 27 this year.

Also, I thank the Red Sox organization for making the time overwhelming. From the moment we got to a gate, an attendant used a wheelchair, one for my wife, Donna, and one for myself.

It was very humbling and exciting to be brought onto the side of the field where all could see. After announcing who I was, where I lived and some of what I did in the military, it seemed as if the whole stadium of fans stood up, yelling and waving their arms.

All of my family, Donna, my wife, our two daughters and their families were able to attend (except our granddaughter and her family, who live in Missouri).

Thank you all, from the depth of my heart.
