DEERFIELD — The town is looking for an administrator after the apparent resignation by current interim administrator Douglas C. Finn.

Finn couldn’t be reached for comment about when he intends to leave.

There is a help wanted ad for his position on the town’s website. Selectboard member Trevor McDaniel confirmed that Finn will be leaving the office for a job elsewhere.

According to the posting, the town is “seeking an experienced municipal administrator to be its town administrator.” The position is advertised as offering a salary between about $60,000 and $75,000, and requests that candidates have at least a bachelor’s degree in public administration.

Applications for the position will start being reviewed Sept. 26. The notice said that applications will continue to be reviewed until the position is filled, and asks that anyone interested in the job send an application to: Patricia Kroll, Administrative Assistant, Town Offices, 8 Conway St., Deerfield, MA 01373, marked “TA Application.”
